These Assaying Procedure Guidelines are updates of the 2003 originals.   Whilst the core content of each document remains unchanged, i.e. the gravimetric methodology, the new editions specifically acknowledge that nowadays X-ray fluorescence (XRF) is also a well-established, equally acceptable assaying method used to identify and quantify chemical composition.
