The production statistics in the graph above are based on figures reported by various agencies and IMOA's estimates. They are the sum of new molybdenum from mine production and approximately 3% additional material recovered from spent catalysts.
Use
Molybdenum use by region
Consumption figures are based on an average of industry estimates. They are the sum of new molybdenum from mine production and approximately 3% additional material recovered from spent catalysts. They do not include molybdenum contained in scrap recycled through the steelmaking process.
